Jeffrey Smith recently illustrated an assignment about the Church of Scientology for
Los Angeles magazine. “The first image is the original version of the opening painting. It was approved, but then completely revised because of legal concerns. Even though almost all the faces were fictional, the art director and the writer asked me remove them, or cover the faces up,” explains Jeffrey.
